Worldwide Candlelighting Day - Sunday, December 12th 2021 - EVENT
Worldwide Candle Lighting Day is celebrated the second Sunday of every December. It is a virtual 24 - hour global candle lighting ceremony sharing compassionate support to each other by families world wide who are grieving the loss of a child.
Losing a child to a traumatic passing such as a loss from substance related harms is devastating to parents, siblings, Grandparents, extended families and friends. The journey of loss for those impacted is a difficult one to travel. Many families feel isolated in their loss.
In 1997 The Compassionate Friends of the United States began World Wide Candle Lighting Day as an annual gift of compassionate support to unite families who lost a loved one too soon. It is now one of the largest candle lighting events anywhere in the world.
Please join Healing Hearts Canada and Moms Stop the Harm on December 12, 2021 at 7 pm and let’s create a wave of light as we honor and remember our loves ones.
